Designing Environments Where Residents Thrive.
Senior living communities are evolving to meet the needs of a growing and diverse aging population. AVID Architects helps providers create spaces that support wellness, foster community, and adapt to changing care models.
Welcome — we’re glad we connected at the Environments for Aging Conference.
At AVID Architects, we believe environments designed for aging populations should do more than meet care requirements — they should support dignity, independence, and meaningful connection.

Project Spotlight
Otterbein SeniorLife
AVID Architects is working with Otterbein SeniorLife to expand multiple senior living communities across Ohio and Indiana, supporting the organization’s vision for vibrant, resident-centered environments. What began in 2023 as the development of a flexible prototype has evolved into a growing partnership spanning five campuses, including new duplex senior residences, independent living and assisted living buildings, and community gathering spaces.
Our in-house architecture and MEP engineering teams work closely with Otterbein, the construction manager, and external engineers to adapt the design to each site’s unique conditions. From navigating steep grades and strict zoning requirements to planning independent living buildings that can seamlessly transition to assisted living in the future, AVID helps ensure each project balances thoughtful design, operational flexibility, and long-term value.
